2009 SE Racing Big Ripper 29

2009 29" SE BIG RIPPER
I built this up to be my new race bike for this racing season. After I bought my dad one for xmas,I wondered how it would feel on the track. After racing it a few times I fell in love with it and new I had to get one of my own. This thing is fast and corners like crazy especially for a big bike.Considering the stock bike weighs almost 29 lbs I wanted to shed a little weight off it though.
SE BIG RIPPER frame powdercoated blue with gray drip decals
exotic carbon fiber fork
fsa headset
sunline stem
sunline bars
odi lock on grips
tektro lever
jagwire braided brake cable
hope seat clamp
crupi ti saddle in blue
alloy seat post 30.8
tektro 857 brakes for extra tire clearance
shimano xt 175mm cranks with american to euro bottom bracket conversion kit
time pedals
fsa 34t chainring
kmc chain
salsa delgado cross rims
dt swiss double butted spokes with blue alloy nipples
chris king hubs 18t cog
kenda small block 8 tires
Ready to race it weighs in at 21lbs 13oz
Plus here's a pick of it built up as a cruiser with stock fork and chrome cruiser bars.
Weighs 25lbs 3 oz built up as a regular cruiser. Not bad considering how big these bikes are.

Sweet ride man! I love the color! Also, the weight reduction is nothing short of amazing!!! I only wish I was a local so i could see how this transformed big Ripper rode. Another beautiful SE for your collection!

Thanks for the comments guys.If any of you get a chance to ride one do it.You'll instantly be hooked.Once you put smaller bars on, It handles so much better. Its still a little hard to manual though.I keep hitting my butt on the back tire. Now I just need to build me up an om flyer and see how they feel.

Have you hit the track on it? Have you raced it?

Re: 2009 SE Racing Big Ripper 29

Yes I race it every thursday.Im loving it more everytime I race it.I raced it at the great salt nationals, and made the main on sunday.I could of done better but im still trying to manual it.The wheels are so huge that when you manual it or lean to far back, your butt hits the tire.So it takes some practice to manual without hitting the tire.It can be done,im just not the best at manualing. But im getting better at it.So far im really competitve on it.I usually finish 1st or 2nd at our local track. We usually have a group of at least 6-7 riders in 36-40 cruiser. If you ever get a chance to ride one do it.There a total blast.
