2009 Skyway T/A

This was supposed to be the 86 t/a but never happened. So the tubing was welded up in 08-09 as reissue to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the skyway t/a.I wanted to build a bike that resembled an 80's t/a but use retro parts with a little mix of old school parts.  2009 skyway t/a f/f  Second batch of 50 out of 150  nos tange 125 headset with locknut  Helix retro tuff neck stem  unknown brand 9.5 chrome bars {waiting on jc skyway race bars}  red ame round grips  nos haro tech plate and number  white changstar mx900 front and rear brakes calipers  silver lee chi tech 3 levers with red lever covers   original skyway designs pad set  white odyssey slic cables with blue dice cable ends  retro profile box cranks 175mm with red hopup kit  sugino 44t chainring with red bolts  reissue hutch pedals with red cages  kmc chrome chain  shimano 16t chrome freewheel  retro se blitz seat in red  peregrine chrome seatpost  helix polished doughnut seat clamp  skyway graphite mags with kool caps and blue colored washers or red cant decide  union comp III skinwall tires  red kool stop brake pads with skyway brake fins  waiting on skyway dice valve caps, not pictured yet  Still going back and forth on the blue washers and cable ends.May change to red.But I am happy with it for now.Let me know what you think.

Re: 2009 Skyway T/A

Im afraid to add up all the reciepts.Yeah im in it around $550 for just the cranks and pedals. But worth the money for the look.I tried to make it look as old school as I could but wanted to use as many of the retro parts I could find to make a true retro skyway ta.Ive always loved the skyway ta's and just had to have one when I found out they where making 150 reissue frame sets. But SE's are still my favorite.

Well the frame is part of the 25th anniversary as you know.Looks like you have a few yourself. This is from the second batch of three. The second batch was finished in may.So even though they made the first batch in 2008 the second batch wasnt made till 2009.So I figured it is a 2009 model of the 25th anniversary frame set.

Re: 2009 Skyway T/A

You have truly done that bike justice. Excellent work.
What was the seat on the original T/A's I forget?
The Elina is a nice color match for sure though.
