1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
Ridin' Red
This is a 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model. This is a custom build shown in brilliant red. This was the bike I could only dream about as a kid. 20+ years later, I built my own with a custom twist. I enjoy doing custom builds so this was a real fun project. Some parts here are NOS, and some parts were restored. Here's how it breaks down...
- 1987 GT PFT Frame/Forks/Bars
- Tech 7 brake levers
- SR GT Mallet stem
- A'me Krayton grips
- GT Epoch headset
- Odyssey Gyro (NOS)
- Nippon front brake
- GT 43t chainring
- GT Power disc
- GT Power Series 3pc cranks
- SR 474 pedals
- GT seat clamp
- Viscount GT seat (NOS)
- Dia Compe 990 rear brake
- GT Superlace hubs (NOS) sealed bearings
- Ukai rims (NOS)
- GT fork standers
- GT freestyle tread tires (NOS)
- Frame standers

Awesome work here. What size is that chainring on there? Nice color pick.

puncho - you hit it right on the head man. as a kid, i always modified and customized my bikes. i still do that even with my cars today. catalog correct builds are truly classics. you cannot beat those restos. but i just choose to build my bikes the way i would've done it as a kid. so i just build them and have fun with it. it's like being a kid again...

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
Wow, I looked at this bike for quite a while at the OSBMX show and believe me, as good as these pics are, they do it little justice. One of the best out there imo,
