1993 Hyper Metro XL

93 Hyper Metro XL with GT Race forks, GT Racing bars, DK Neck, GT FSA Headset, GT 45 Tooth Sprocket, GT 180mm Racing 3pc Crank set, Crupi Claw pedals(not shown, being installed today) Pitbull 2 Brakes

My brother got this bike in the summer of 93 as just a frame back in NY, raced it for a while.  We then moved to AZ in 95 and he then handed me the bike in 99. I since then have changed many of the parts.  He had a set of Redline 180mm 3 piece which snapped on me sprocket side, I now have a set of GT 3 piece 180mm shown in the pic. I am also going to change the red GT 45 tooth sprocket with a Black GT 45 tooth that I have. originally my brother had the popular purple themed decals and accent pieces, the decals got ruined so i removed them. This has been my favorite bike out of all I've ever owned other than my 1990 GT pro series which I still own and is having special parts ordered. I plan for this bike to be all chromed out including headset with only minor accent pieces being black such as new decals I will order, the sprocket, brakes, tires and seat. I'm actually looking for another one of these bikes so if anyone come across a sale let me know! There is the little bit of damage under the headset where the top tube weld cracked, one of my good neighbors re welded it for me, I'm not sure if Hyper has a lifetime warranty on something like this, so info on that would be great!

Re: 1993 Hyper Metro XL

even if hyper had the warranty it wouldnt be any good anymore . its not the same company , someone bought out the name and the old design and started making them again but totally different company i think .  danaalaang had one for sale , but it might already begone . you should check with him , his was very sweet .
