1998 GT Speed Series Cruiser 24

1998 GT Speed Series Cruiser 24

Light, strong, beautiful raw frame.  American BB, 1 1/8" forks, 3/8" axles, 24" cruiser.
TRADED frame to member Mslayers son.

I bought this frame on Craigslist from a Brazilian racer turned Florida pool guy. I think he won a few races in Brazil with it. He had a Dracon ProShock alloy fork on here, but it didn’t work with my wheels, so I put a 96 GT power series Chromoly fork on instead, which would have been the original style. I picked up the Powerlite cruiser wheels at a track swap meet, and put on new 1.75" IRC Siren tires. The red Shimano DX brakes are NOS, and some of the other parts are New-School to get the best performance. I have FSA sealed American bearings for 19mm spindle, FSA Orbit MX sealed bearing headset, FSA 40t cnc’d sprocket, Sinz chain tensioners, and Odyssey Slic cable. Cranks are 175 Profiles with ‘bitchin bolts’, Pedals are NOS black VP550, ODI lock-on grips, FMF Pro race seat with hollow titanium rails and red stitches, 27.0mm alloy seat post (made by JD -same as the GT original but no GT painted logo), quick-release seat clamp. The stem is a drop nose GT piston stem with machined ring. I have Dyno pro size (28 x 9) bars on there so I don’t have to stoop.  Overall, probably a little over $400 in it even after bargain hunting for every part.  Rides beautifully!

Stuff I want: 2000 24" DB Reactor Team frame ,  Voxom and Enigma stuff. Alliant / Radix stem and stuff.  JW and Stiffys stuff.  Cool late mid-school cruiser parts.

looks way better raw, i always disliked those downtube stickers on the 97 speed and pro series
