1984 GT 16

1984 GT pit . Only one around!!!

I just bought this from the first owners Dad. His son raced and wanted this pit, so one sunday his dad told him if he wins that he will go buy it for him. he said his son nver rode so hard and won! he went and it was about$350 at that time. He asked his son who is now 33 years old if he could sell it to me and here it is. All I did was spend about 3 hours cleaning it and its back to original condition. The decals are original.

Im adding a pic of my 1981 26" and 1986 24"

Re: 1984 GT 16

Somehow I missed you posting the 16"  I picked one up a while back but haven't posted it to the museum...this ones an 82 and I haven't added or changed a thing.

Serial is 821252  Any idea how many were made?  Nice to see another one.  There is one in the Vintagebmx site in their museum, but aside from yours, I've never come across another.  Congrats!!!

Re: 1984 GT 16

nice.chrome lookes to be in good shape.looks like 83 or earlier though.see where the top tube ends at the rear?not a good angle but looks flat with no gt logo stamped in.84 they sloped it and stamped the logo in.i think older is better anyway.

Nice 82 pit. If you ever want to part with it, please, email me. I like GT's smile

The red uni isn't a hammerhead, it is an early Uni turbo. The hammerheads had a squarer shape to them.
