1991 Redline RL 720

Rough to Retro! - SOLD!

Just finished turning this very worn out 1991 Redline 720 into a retro rider/racer. I used the frame, fork, bars, stem and brake and replaced everything else.  I think it cleaned up pretty nice. I wasn't sure if the chrome was salvagable, but a lot of elbow grease and it now looks fantastic! This frame has a nice long top tube, very comfortable bike for grown-up kids.
I'm considering ditching these chrome Araya/XS wheels and putting on something old school with skin/gumwalls, but these wheels do rock in their own right, I must say.

Just a bump for the new pics of the restified '91 :)  Hope you guys enjoy. Be sure to check out the Before pic and compare! Quite a difference! Almost done, can't wait until I get the new sprocket on there for a nice finishing touch.

This is my new rider.

Re: 1991 Redline RL 720

Looks great.  I think I'm gonna do the same thing w/ my 91 RL 720 SLX.  These frame sets are so underrated.  It's like have a 80's Carrera or Proline w/ a 20 3/4" top tube!  Don't get any better for a Redline.  Perfect candidate for a retro look,
