2008 Firemans Texas Cruzer 29

UPDATE: This Bike now belongs to my bro Chris Fowler!  Go see him (and it) at ABGB!

Full custom.  Like nothing you've ever seen!

Custom Flames and Pinstriping by Dave Sem in San Antonio.
Firemans 29 Frame and Fork
Sinz Cruiser Bars
Oakley 3 Grips
Selle Italia C2 Gel Flow Saddle
USE Alien Seat Post
Profile Slim Jim Seat Post Collar
Profile Acoustic Stem
Cane Creek Solos Headset
Profile Hop-Up Bottom Bracket
Profile Fireball 39T Chainwheel
Profile Race 180 Cranks - Color Matched!
Animal Hamilton Pedals
KMC Z-Chain, BMX 1/2 x 1/8
Shimano 16T Freewheel
Crupi Old School High Flange Hubs
Velocity 700c Rims
Sweetskinz Nightwing 700 x 38c tires
Shimano DX Brakes and Levers
What can I say?  I needed a road bike to do some distance riding.  This bike has been in the works since August of 2008.  It took quite some time to amass all of the parts, and another good while getting the custom flame and decal job done by Dave Sem, but all well worth the wait.  This thing rides like a dream!  The lower profile tires give it a 26 feel when it's pointed straight, but in the turns it's all 29.  I put 700c's on it, because basically a 29 rim is a 700c, and because I wanted to run some skinnier, higher pressure tires.  Check the crazy cammo pattern on the Sweetskinz.  And they're reflective, too!
VIVA FIREMANS!

Far out, man!

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; / For he to-day that sheds his blood with me / Shall be my brother ... / gentlemen ... now-a-bed / Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here / And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks / That fought with us
