Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
I got this 99 trek 6000 new, then instantly upgraded to xt components and manatou sx ti shock. I recently got some Kevlar continental double fighter tires for cruisin the pavement and some lizard skinz north shore grips that I think are the best grips made.

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
I've actually been thinking of switching to a SE Landing Gear 26" The Blkmrkt & 26" S&M Pitchfork are suspension corrected. Like the Surly for I have on it now. I'd like to switch to a non-susp corrected fork to drop the front end down a bit & quicken up the steering a little.

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
G, those white bikes look really cool.
I have a question. When you run them with a single front sprocket, what front gear do you choose? Is it between middle and top front sprocket sized?

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
My 1996 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo. Bought it new and kept it original, not for any special reason...I just have not broken anything on it yet, so I felt no need to upgrade
And here is my 1988 Bridgestone RB-2 that I also bought new and kept original. I need to clean this one up and sell it, then buy a cruiser.

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
Here it is like wds said "It use to be a MTB" I just pop'ed the chain and bent the chainring so i guess its time for a 3pc BMX crank. I dont know if i should do single drive on the rear or leave the gears. Its Kinda ready for powder
I HURT MY SELF TODAY, TO SEE IF I STILL FEEL...ACTUALY I FORGOT TO TENSION THE CHAIN......
You know damn well that neither of us knows what the hell you are talking about.

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
I've got a really crappy Mongoose that I got a few years ago at Academy (sports store)... basically a WalGoose...
It pops like the chain skips a tooth when I pedal hard though. So, I gave up on it...
Dig out your bashguard bikes and let me know! I'm looking for a '91 Mongoose Hooligan, Dyno Slammer 2, '95 Haro Basher, . I'll consider the others too for the right price!

Triangleman sent me some cranks in the original box from 1997 along with a '97 Catalog, and they are listed in there. Pretty cool looking!

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
Here is my '93 Kona Lava Dome. This thing is pretty light for a mountain bike. I pieced this together over winter. I have less than $150 invested so far.

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
Me on my Geekhouse 26" Wormtown dirt jumper. This is a 6'gap at a place in San Diego called "Bearcat". The big stuff is down the hill 20+ ft gap jumps...not for this old man. 40 year old bones snap easy. second pic is when I lost the Geek and launched it into the next set, breaking my Manitou Gold Label at the brake arch and axle clamp.... Guess you can say I'm in the market for new lowers..lol
Hind sight is always 20/20. Lookin back it's still a bit fuzzy.

This is my Specialized Hardrock Comp. disc.Took the gears off,put a chain tensioner on,changed to just break handles no shifters, lock on grips,Azonic neck,Azonic bars.Mirraco seat.Im gonna take the quick release off the hubs and put a normal axel.I love this thing!!The cranks creak alittle now so Im gonna switch em out when Im back to work.So for now,it rides,it creaks,I have fun!Works out great.
