LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
I know this is a BMX site but how many off you still take a MTB's out for a good bashing? Here's mine. I got it when I turned 16 about 11 years ago and have logged over 2500 on it, then I lost my little computer When I worked as a lifeguard at a cub scout camp it was my lake jumper at twice it remained on the bottom for a couple days till we could find it
The only probs I have ever had with it was 1 popped tire, broken seat, worn out grips, broken pedals and 3 sets of tires. Also a smashed up derailer. Let here your stories and see your bike!
1998 Gary Fisher Wahoo
All I have left are the wheel covers, LED UNI VINYL and UNI LAMBO NOS

Having the project is what makes me happy, finishing it isn't something I think about.

I have one. I'll post pics when I get a chance.
My Father once spoke to me and said "The way you look at your bike is the way I see My children, I look past the imperfections and rough surfaces to the beauty of the finished product."

2008 Giant Reign 1
Got a full suspension to help ease the hits on my body from the landings. Started getting into trail riding more last year but I tend to ride it much more like a BMX so I thrash the streets quite a bit too!

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
Here's my Mongoose, complete with checkered seat cover to stay true to my bmx roots
I used to do a lot of trail riding but now it's mainly a city cruiser for rides too long distance for a bmx.
Put some killer serfas drifter tires on it...cool tires. like reverse knobbies with dents instead of knobs...way smoother on the street but still bite nice on the dirt.

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
Here's my "hodge podge" GT mountain bike. Not a very high end bike but those Spinnergy’s are just too cool. I traded for it over a year ago and have been thinking of stripping it down and converting one of my KOS cruisers into a mountain bike.
I'm looking for a clean 1975 Mongoose (long) frame, and a nice original finish Mongoose Two/Four

I used to have Spinergy wheels too. I loved them! Didn't have to worry about truing those wheels!
I sold my MTN bike in Nov of 06. Got my BMX bike in March of 07.
I'd gotten rid of the spinergy wheels by the time I took pix.
Those are the last 2 pix I had in my bucket. 1993 Paramount R50. Rebuilt in mid-90s w/all Shimano Deore XT or better. Race Face BB, Chris King headset, Paul's Love levers, Rock Shox Judy SL w/speed spring upgrade, Kore Stem and bars, everything else was XT.
I sold it to a guy at work who I ask for it back from everytime I see him.

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
I need to get pics of my XC bike. Then I will post them both.
Oh, anyone looking for a CHEAP rest project. I have a late 90s Pro Flex frame that is way too big for me and it is just sitting. I have been told a number of times that they were pretty rad frames in the 90s. Killer deal to be had! Or trade for somethign I might need.

I've got several too, but this Ellsworth Dare was by far my favorite...till i snapped the frame at the downtube/bottom bracket junction. Hoping to order a replacement frame this spring!!!

they gonna cover that under warranty?
I sure hope so!
I worked a 24 hour mtn bike race years ago w/my buddy who worked for Night Rider lights at the time. We shared a tent w/the Ellsworth guys. Cool bunch of people!
They had Shaums March's DH bike (not sure how to spell his name) He jumped ship to Schwinn the next year.
That thing had so much travel that I rode it UP a small flight of stairs. 6-8 steps made out of logs so they were rounded, but it was smooth as butta!

Re: LET'S SEE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES !!
they are good about their warranties...one of the tech guys had promised me a crash replacement frame for $500...but he didn't really know what he was talking about, since that's only for the original owner....i ended up talking to Tony Ellsworth and he said he'd give me a deal on a new Rogue or Dare as i was the second owner, and they only do full replacement for the original purchaser. nice guys though!
