Nice. Did you get the bike as a compete? If so did the flights weight alot less then the OEM's that come on it? I have been considering changing mine on my Floval.

Re: 2009 SE Racing Quadangle 24
I got it as a frame set so I don't know if the SE cranks are heavier, though I would guess they are a little as they appear to be very simular to Profiles and they are heavy. When I built it I had a set of Cook Bros aluminum cranks too, it was a toss up, the Flights were like new and the Cooks where warn a bit , though lighter. I sold the Cooks with the Red Line Pro XL 24 that the cranks came off of.Plus I think the Flights give it a bit of old school flair and they made some of my buddys that hadn't seen a BMX bike in 20+ years drool.lol

Re: 2009 SE Racing Quadangle 24
Hay thanks for the comment! Your quad looks bullet proof, nice! This one was white but I found the paint wanted to about jump off the frame, does all fuji se paint chip easy? On the V brake posts I used a dremel w/cutoff wheel but left some of the post on the seat stays (basically a couple of MM of the old weld at the base) to make sure I don't get into the seat stay tube. Then carefully filed & sanded until smooth with the seat stay tube, make sure to put sand paper on a block & sand lengthwise with the seatstay tube as this will not allow making a dip in the tube somewhere. To my surprise there is not 1 pit or anything on the tube to have to fill in, it's like they were never there. Obviously this takes patients, care & a little time. These may vary but this was my experience. I'm also thinking about MX 1000's if I do I will drill a slightly larger hole in the brake brace and insert a metal bushing so when U tightened the nut that holds the brake to the frame it will not crush the brake brace frame tube. also love the hutch, thanks

Re: 2009 SE Racing Quadangle 24
Is this the frame that bent? Where did it bend? How did ya manage that one... wipe out?
In the 80's, I was riding the streets with Eric (Hutch), Jamie (GT), Jody (JMC), & Ronnie (Diamond Back). North Hollywood, CA to The Teen Center in Van Nuys, CA. The best LBS was The Pedal Shop, where I bought my first & only JMC frame, forks, & parts for my very first build...

Re: 2009 SE Racing Quadangle 24
Yes this is the frame that bent, it bent just behind the head tube, both the top tube and the small secondary top tube bent, kinda like the head tube was trying to rake out a bit. as far as how I did it, I rode the bike at the track and the skatepark, the jumps at the track have very smooth landers and I just rode vert with it at the park, nothing to hard core. One day I just noticed it was tweaked. After all it really is a "retro bike" and a bit of a novelty, it is a design that was abandond in 81 or so plus the fact that it's a 24 makes those tubes even longer and susceptible to stress. I have only good words for the folks at SE who took care of the warrantee . The new one actually looks a bit tougher ,though it is what it is . I ride the new one gentler, really just cruz around on it with my daughter( who rides my ( her) vintage looptail PK) and take a differant bike to the skatepark.

Nice build, dig the blue and white them you went with. I just finished mine and went old school black and white, was thinking about the going blue but my Big Rippers is blue and white and really didn't want the same look. Looks sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!
