Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

Thanks.

Decal isn’t stock, but I honestly can’t remember where I got it online. The shield is an anodized aluminum top cap.

Ha!  Not sure I will make a good teacher. I just watched like a thousand youtube videos of 12 year olds doing it, thinking: if those scrawny MFers can do, then so can you big_smile  That motivated me enough to just keep trying for weeks.

Honestly for me brake control and getting comfortable being behind the balance point was KEY in making any progress.

Nice!  Is that a Brooks B17?  Inhave a B67 that I might put on the bike but I really like the stock saddle...

How do you like those tires?  Grifters, right?

I got the handlebars from Theframeking
It's looking like a clown bike. But I'm kind of liking it.
Can I get some ideas on stem color?
Do I keep going with another crazy color or??

Yeah, I really like the stealth look, I can park it in Amsterdam without the bike screaming already from a distance, look at me/steal me. cool

You can't put a price on peace of mind.

It doesn't hold the same allure it once did, but it's the thought that counts.

cool

Finally a full chromoly 29 with mid bb, 990 brake, intergrated hs. Would be a cool bike to build a 3spd internal hub with big_smile

Minx, that's exactly what it needs to make it a great allround bike!! Today it was very windy and I did some off-road, I wish I could have shifted down, because it has a high ratio now! Can you point a direction, what steps need to be taken?

I've been postponing building up a 3spd wheel for my Haro 26. It's a bit different as its 135mm spacing and disc brake.  Sram i3 or Sturmey Archer hub is what I'm hearing are the best. I prefer a mechanical shifter vs a grip shift. Also while some might like a "kick back" shifting hub, I'm more towards having the ability to shift via lever.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

But it has to be a hub that can accept a small cog, because I can't run a large sprocket in the front, I think only Nexus can?

I'm not the best to ask as my only experience has been with completes that came with a 3spd hub. Both bikes having near 40t front, 18t rear.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

I gave it a thought but don't feel it's worth the hazzle converting it into a 3-speed. I'm now figuring out what is the best ratio for it as a SS. Input appreciated. smile
