If you haven't seen the magical stars floating around whilst lying face down in the mud you ain't lived.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

Woot, finally a club that will have me!

Couple of weeks back I picked up a 2018 Mike Buff edition Big Ripper.  I love this thing, it's an absolute joy to ride.

I think I'm going to take it out onto the Fullerton Loop and see how it does out there, and I also want to ride down to the site of the old La Mirada BMX track just for old time's sake.

I don't ride a BMX bike to look cool to others, I do it because it's fun and never do I think "Boy I sure am cool on my BMX bike."

Nearly.. Stock wheels gone, tyres were rotten (stock ones) added Crupi Protein bars (6.5") and Avid levers. Just waiting on the front brake to arrive now and she will be ready.

The sun is out in force, but sadly I am waiting for Amazon sad  I left half of my vaping gear at my mother's, so had to do an emergency next day order. Hopefully it will turn up soon, then I am the frank out of here !!

The standard 33/15 that comes with it.

I'll be honest, it's not as easy to wheelie than everyone makes it out to be.  At least not for me.  It's way big, so it is a bit heavier to get up, and because of its size, the balance point is pretty far back.  I'm either not pulled up enough, or I feel like I'm going to go too far backwards.

That said, I'd originally had my seat up pretty high, so I could pedal comfortably sitting down - also thinking that would help with wheelies.  But contrary to what I thought, I find it easier to get the front wheel up with a lower seat height.  It's weird, but it might be because of the size and all.

Traded my FIT 22 even on it. Yes, had 1st year Big R and this is essentially the same. Welds, finish, components, frame alignment are all very nice considering the retail price point.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

Thats funny both the FIT 22 and BR are bikes that I watch as possible next buy. The weight on the 22 is a bit concerning though....it is about the same as a BR. 22's are on sale most of the time, BR's almost never, so I think you did well by trading it. smile
