Nice cappy!

I gotta get some pics of mine.

I'm like 6'1" so the Big Ripper fits me perfect.

I knew I had to have one when I saw them on Rob & Big.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

Yeah I like the "murdered out" look, but I also like to be a little different.

I dunno doing the BR would be a pretty big commitment. As in if it didnt turn out I wouldnt have the $$$ to restore it.

I may strip and polish my Hemi and see how I do.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

I already considered that for one of my other bikes and the only reason i wouldnt want to go that route is that polished aluminum needs alot of maintanance , and i had asked the coaters if a clear coat would work over that and he didnt recommend it , but a painters clearcoat might do the job . Either way lots of work & money if the job doesn't  come out PRIMO

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

That's funny you guys were discussing the exact thing I was doing... I'm going to find out about the clear coat. it was either polish or have it powdered white.... maybe candy apple blue or red. polished reminds me the most of a old school bike, old school being going to the bike shop around 81-83 and just being in awe of all the chrome and shiny colors the bikes in the shop used to be. I will post some more pics when done.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

Picked up my SE Big Ripper a few days ago. So far just a Profile Stem Lock and some front / rear LED's.

Got it from "ALL Bicycles" here in Deerfield Beach FL if anyone in local area wants to pick one up.

Next will be changing gear ratio.

"bunny hop'd" a speed bump for starters and it was much easier than I expected to get the bike up.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB

Finally finished the bike... after hearing from lots of people I'm going to stick with no sealer, I talked to a bunch of guys with polished frames and they didn't seem to have any problems, they all keep them inside which I plan on doing too. I think If I do have problems down the road I will look into getting it ball burnished... no one really knew what type of sealer to use anyway. I rode the bike in Venice beach yesterday and was stopped 3 times by people to find out what is this... where did I get it... how can I get one... I can't wait to see what SE has next year... hoping for a 29" quadangle to join the collection.
