Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB
I think the stock bike came in a tad under 29 lbs.So I should of shaved 6.5 lbs off it.Now if the track will just open so I can take it out and see how it rolls. Now I have all the parts left over to build up another complete.Just need a frame. So when they come out with the 29" quad ill have all the parts to build one up.Hopefully they will come in a frame set as well as completes.

There is a Big Ripper in stock at the ReCyclery in Lawrence if anyone's interested. The owner is a ex-racer and an SE dealer. I bought mine from him. (785) 856-1236

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB
I raced my big ripper on thursday for the first outdoor race of the season. We had two heats of 5 riders and full rack for the main.I finished first in a very stacked 36-40 cruiser class.I had a great gate and got the hole shot to the first turn. The second place rider and I pulled away from pack out of the first turn and there was no looking back.Im running the stock 33-18 gear ratio and with the help of some super lite 26" tubes I finaly got it down to 21lbs 13 oz.Im having a blast racing it.Plus all the comments people say about the size of the wheels are fun.Next time you get a chance take one to the track. They handle so much better than one would think of a bike of its size. Its giving me a whole new interest for racing again.

how much can a big ripper be bought for?
I have been watching them on eBay for the last month or so and a couple went for around 400.00. The last few have been getting up to the 500.00 mark.

I'm stoked we have a "BIG RIPPER" thing going on.
There are other 29rs but none like the "BIG RIPPER" !

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB
I brought her home last night, LBS took the order for $488 including tax, it came in within 48 hours. Drag on the roof rack was scary - this thing is BIG alright. But, wicked light. Rode her for two hours last night, road and a little offroad. Handles like a dream, so funny to stand on the pedals...at 6'3", my head is way high! Seriously, it's an absolutely wonderful bike...a new fav, here.

Re: Wagon Wheel (29er) CLUB
That's cool Cappy! I can totally relate to the high-altitude ride... and the 29er really rocks the roof rack pretty hard, especially going over speed bumps... pretty scary!
