1981 Prodyne 26

The best 26"er ever!!!!

i think these were made in the early 80's, pre 82 i assume. The gearing is 46-21, the campy crankset I got already had the 46T, trying to find a smaller gold campy chainring has been tough to say the least. so this will have to work, I actually like the way it feels with this gearing, a little tall, but it has really nice torque
heres the build list
*  26 Prodyne frame, original paint and decals 26
* chrome CW fork, original finish
* Chrome Prodyne cruiser bars
* Gold inverted square corner tuf-neck
* Zeronine Cruiser # plate
* Oakley 3's
* D/C 890 brakeset with Koolstop pads
* Tange headset
* D/C 2 peice seatclamp
* Tange cromo fluted post
* Suede Unicantor saddle
* Araya 7X's
* Campagnolo hubs
* Campagnolo Cranks with 46T
* Campagnolo Pedals
* Torker sealed bottom bracket
* Izumi chain
* Suntour Freewheel 21T
* Comp 3 tires, fat-skinny combo

Possibly the best build of any cruiser on the museum!
Truly a museum piece.

Re: 1981 Prodyne 26

21t??

Newbie...
No front brakes, except for freestyle.
Adjust your seat and bars, so it looks like you actually ride.
Use cruiser bars on cruisers.
No laybacks on cruisers either, jeez.

Confused what this means? Questioning the 21t freewheel?

Just wondering if this bike still exists complete or got parted out when it sold.

Hey Brian, hope all is well. Yeah I still have it complete, only thing I've added is an original prodyne seat clamp.:)

I still need to find a smaller gold campy chainring, so I can ditch the 21t freewheel. lol
