Re: What does the SST stand for the Robinson bikes

The SST was aimed at an all round market Skate, Street, Track..

Its even in the catalogues through the years of the SST...

Re: What does the SST stand for the Robinson bikes

Lot of mis-information in this thread....so let's clear it up shall we?

Rebel: hi-ten for the most part, although there seems to be a few trimoly examples out there
SST: (supersonic transport) full chromo
MX: almost a pro. full chromo and we don't need no stinkin' badges
Pro: with badges and shiz..
Team: Longer than pro
Amtrac: Longer than Team

in that order. Thus concludes todays lesson in mid-school Robinson 102

Sometimes, to make a paradise, you gotta release a SERPENT.

Bringing this back up for future potential buyers.     Olracer, you sure the Pro was a loop tail?  I just bought one and it's definitely not a loop tail. Maybe it was a year range thing?  Thinking maybe the earlier ones weren't and then they eventually  became loop tails?

Threadless isn't "old school", sorry lol.  Thank you Linn Kastan, Scott Breithaupt, Bob Haro, Eddie Fiola, Martin Aparijo, Kevin Hull, Jose Yanez, Matt Hoffman & the rest for leading the way & keeping the flame lit.  Without you guys we'd have nothing.  (And one more thing; WHATS IT MADE OUT OF?!?! Aluminum? Hi-ten? Cro-mo? Titanium? PUT IT IN THE DESCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Re: What does the SST stand for the Robinson bikes

Now that I look more on the internet, I can't find any Robinsons that are true loop tails.  Odd.
