Re: My 83 GT Pro, STOLEN

Sorry to hear that! I had a bike stolen from my garage a  while back and the guy who did it left his shi**y huffy mountain bike on the ground next to where my nice bike used to be. I think I was more pissed off than if the scumbag would have just taken it. mad

Bikes are cool, even the dumb ones.

Re: My 83 GT Pro, STOLEN

Hey Boxline sorry to hear that, it was a nice freakin bike. Must have been a crack head. Did you make a police report? If you see an officer tell him to keep an eye out for it and who you possibly suspect. Just a quick note. A friend of mine told me that his sister's was burglarized and asked me to keep an eye out for an expensive Trek mountain bike. I was cruising around from time to time and observed a crankster riding the Trek mountain bike. Sucker did not get far and went to the big house. Don't give up keep looking, specially the areas where you suspect narcotic activity. Good luck.

Re: My 83 GT Pro, STOLEN

Sorry to hear it, man... In 93, I had an 81 Black Devil, and 85 Skyway Streetbeat and an 86 Redline stolen from my Garage... Lucky for me, the guy was really stupid... Turned up one day with my housemates little brother, and took a really unhealthy interest in them that I commented on - 2 days later - no bikes... Went over to his house and retrieved them... Half felt sorry for him in the end - his father was slapping him stupid for it in front of me, and the mother was screaming him down... But the parents bought me a carton of beer and a new Redline padset because he'd sold the existing pads to one of his friends for my inconvenience... Best of luck getting it back... Sadly, I'd almost bank on it being a so-called friend, or someone you know... Shitty world, isn't it?

Re: My 83 GT Pro, STOLEN

Keep an eye out on eBay, Craigslist or even local ads in papers - Its either some little rascal wanting a bike or someone who knows that bike has value. Does any of your neighbours have a security camera that also has a view of your house?
It could also be a possibility that theres alot of thefts in your area involving bikes?

Keep your head up!!!!!!!!!!  I got a good feeling you'll get her back!!!!!!!!!       I had my childhood Hutch stolen from me at age 13 and no joke I see the dude I thought took it was at a bar 15 years later and asked him and he laughs and says "ya I did, hope there are no hard feelings"  so what did I do?  I whooped his ass pretty good....that stolen bike feeling came back to me and I couldn't help myself.....................f@*#in thiefs!!!!!!!

Don't STARE at your bike, RIDE IT!!

Bikes are made to ride and not meant to sit on your carpet collecting dust!
