1982 Race Inc. RA-24

My most challenging project yet!

Finally complete! I had this posted earlier but deleted it to show all new completed pics. Race Inc. 24 Cruiser frame and fork that was a complete bike when I purchased it in 2002 on Ebay for $250.00 buy it now.I stripped it and put all the other parts aside and bought all NOS parts for it. Then I had Chip at C4 Labs powder the frame, forks, pedal cages and bars Candy blue. Turned out sweet, looks annodized! The parts I have on this are NOS clear Ame grips with Race Inc. stickers under them, gold anno Hatta headset, blue Kashimax seat, gold anno flutted seatpost, gold anno Dia Compe hinged seatpost clamp, gold anno Tech 3 lever with gold cable running to the gold anno Dia Compe MX 1000 brake, gold anno Shimano 600 cranks with sealed bottom bracket, Suntour pedals with blue cages, gold anno Araya 7x hoops with Sunshine sealed bearing hubs(like Cook Bros.) Double butted spokes with blue anno nipples. The Race Inc 29x7 Cruiser bars and first gen gold anno Tuff Neck are the only parts not NOS. This bike is by far the lightest Cruiser I have. Like it? I can't stop looking at it. Thanks for checking it out.

Re: 1982 Race Inc. RA-24

Thanks! For builds like this I take the cable guides and spread a little clear caulk on the inside, let it dry then cut the excess of with a razor. Takes a little practice but it's worth it. That way I'm not shaking so much.

I keep looking at this cruiser.  It's awesome.  How long did it take you to find the bars?
