1984 GHP Long
1984 GHP Long
THIS BIKE WILL BE BORN AGAIN
I grew up in Subic Bay which is a naval base in the Phillipine Islands making it extremely difficult to get quality American parts, most of what i got was department store junk and lower end brand name stuff. This was my first "pro level" bike and I picked it up basically the way it sits for $50. As I continued to ride and progress I kept changing my frame and components and kept everything that I wasn't using in storage.... eventually my mom defaulted on the storage unit and it caused me to lose everything. This picture (which I still carry in my wallet) is what brought me to this site and started my interest in collecting old school bmx with the ultimate goal of re-creating this bike.
* 1984 GHP PRO LONG F&F
* CW PRO BARS
* ZERONINE MOTO-CONTROL NUMBER PLATE
* PRO NECK STEM (I still own)
* DOMINATOR SEAT
* ELF ZIP BACK POST (I still own)
* DIA-COMPE 901 BRAKES
* HUTCH PRO PEDALS
* REDLINE 401 CRANKS
* SEDIS SPORT CHAIN
* CAMPAGNOLO RECORD HUBS (I still own)
* ARAYA 7X RIMS (I still own)
* TIOGA COMP III TIRES
* *NOTE* I took these pads off base one day and had them covered in snakeskin.

Re: 1984 GHP Long
Looks and sounds like a great bike- You need to rebuild it, will be expensive, but not impossible nd well worth the money for the nostalgia.

Re: 1984 GHP Long
Still no luck! All the Long's I find have either been painted or re-chromed. I need one in OG chrome to complete my bike from 20 years ago
