Is there a difference between 86s and 87s beside the lower fork pegs?

The only differences I'm aware of are.

- Fork pegs being lower (as you mentioned)
- Color choices (black/chrome/pink is 87 only) but it's unclear what 86 colors were not available in 87.
- I believe the cable guide under the TT near the HT is different but don't quote me on that.

The rest is identical AFAIK but someone certainly pipe up if I missed something.

Yeah the cable guide went from a solid guide to a split guide design

Are we getting a retro from Redline yet?

Re: RL20II's, show us what you got

1999 Redline FS 880    I bought a mint one off of craigslist.  Thing was a tank but very stable/solid.  I loved the way it rode and it was beautiful to look at.  Sold it here on the site and kind of regret it. hmm

I don't throw it away because someday I know I will want it back.

What's that supposed to mean? lol

The frameset just came in the mail today. Never had a bearing cup installed in it. Been looking to get my hands on in for over 12 years now and the guy finally decided to let it go. The other one I've owned since new. Waste? I think not.

Re: RL20II's, show us what you got

Please remain calm... , Seeing a complete sitting there covered in whatever it's covered in and a flat , no pedals unridden and unloved stings the guys who's kill for one to actually ride and love...its like the old guys who collect viable restorable classic cars over a lifetime to watch them rust into the ground because " one day " they say they'll get around to " fixing them up"...see? No harm, no foul.

Re: RL20II's, show us what you got

Lol. I’ll wipe it down with a diaper for you. Will that make you happy? I pulled it out of storage a while back and didn’t have any diapers laying around. Sorry.

Like I said I’ve owned that one since the fall of 87. It’s been in much rougher shape than that.
