Re: Lets Get A Robinson Thread Going!

Very cool thread!  donnie(1966bmx) that robi is gona be sick, can't wait to see it done. cool
Damn Tom (KIW), WOW thats kiiller.  Love the loops and gusset robi's big_smile

I agree with what someone else said, these were/are very underrated bikes.   I know I like mine a lot!
It was my first build from just a frame, did it on a budget.  Its a new school '98 SST that was nasty dirty when I got it, didn't want to build it but every time I looked at it, it was screaming "build me", glad I did.

This is what I started with:

This is how it turned out:

Lookin for:  9/16" DX's in gold rougher the better...  Dirtbike with standing platform, Menstrual cycles decals...  Need one Blue anno Ukai speedline shinny side rider condish and straight.

Re: Lets Get A Robinson Thread Going!

Here is my 82 Robinson Pro with non drilled forks. It has original Robinson bars, Tuff Neck, Araya 7x rims, Dia Compe brakes with Shimano DX lever, Maxy Cross cranks, and Shimano DX pedals. I found this baby hanging on the side of a house while helping my brother looking for a new house. $45 dollars later and this baby was on it's way home with me. I had to do a lot of cleaning and change a few parts but everything is original or came off of another survivor. This is the bike my 8 year old nephew rides when he comes over and to him it's just another bike. Hopefully pone day he will appreciate the rarity of it. http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm128/jeffr818/robinsonpro001.jpghttp://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm128/jeffr818/robinsonpro004.jpghttp://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm128/jeffr818/robinsonpro005.jpghttp://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm128/jeffr818/robinsonpro003.jpghttp://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm128/jeffr818/robinsonpro002.jpg

Is your 8-year old nephew 6-foot, 10-inches???

Jeff that bike is VERY sweet as a survivor. I love it! But flip those seat guts around and pull those bars back to near vertical.

As long as I'm here, it doesn't matter where 'here' is.
