new school street/park/trail cruiser

Until May 2020, I hadn’t touched a BMX since I sold my Sabbath after a monster slam in ‘95 ended 15 years of daily BMX action. My 2nd grader finally learned to ride in the Spring thanks to C19 traffic reduction (we live downtown in a large city) and was goading me to show him tricks. My 25 yr old Salsa cross racer was not cutting it! I found this dad machine in OE spec and barely used on my local CL for 1/3 of what a retro SE cruiser goes for and grabbed it. I’m really impressed! New school bikes are really, really good. It’s light but burly (unlike my Sabbath which was BURLY burly), handles great, and is well-designed for easy maintenance and durability. Now I’m itching to get a new school 20” :)

Of course, I can never leave well-enough alone...so far, I’ve replaced the following:
Bar: S&M XLT 9”
Post: S&M 300mm pivotal
Grips: S&M Hoder
CW: S&M Tuf Man 26t
Brake pads: Porkchop Skyway repops
Pedals: Speedplay Drilliums

Not a fan of the stock tires for my needs, but street 24” options are slim. Odyssey Path Pros?
