Ultimate WeThePeople Frame / Now A Classic Collectable?

Really rare BMX We The People Scorpio Frame / WTP Scorpio Special Edition Frame BMX

The Scorpio frame is one of the most desirable frames WeThePeople ever made and never available as part of a WTP complete bmx but only used for exclusive custom built WTP bmx bikes. A Scorpio frame would be at a level above either a WTP Envy or a WeThePeople Battleship or Revolver. New this frame was about $400 if you could get one.

This original WTP Scorpio frame is the direct successor to the famous WTP LO-FI frame and the tubing is made of the classic 4130 semi-magma chromo exclusive to the factory frame series. Dropouts 5mm thick laser cut 4130 crmo heat-treated. The bottom bracket height is 11.75”.  The Scorpio has a 75° head tube angle, better for front wheel tricks. The chain stays are short at 13.22” and allow you to spin easily. The weight of 2.1kg is just right.

There are two easy ways to identify a WeThePeople Scorpio frame, the sort of cross on the rear stays behind the seatpost is very specific and only on a Scorpio frame and also the special edition open rear dropouts are clear identifiers of a 2010 WTP Scorpio frame. There is also the crossed symbol below the down tube at the front of the frame. Later WTP Scorpio frames have the flared gussets at the head tube and a built in seat clamp. In the future it will be almost as collectible as an old school BMX classic like a Haro freestyler, PK Ripper or Redline RL series.
