2005 Vertical Blade Street
started as a parts bike but...
I picked this up 2 years ago as a parts bike($60 cl find). Didn't care for the shape of the frame or the stock bars but it did come with a really sweet looking set of polished 3 pcs cranks & a nice decent looking set of rims. Not crazy about the shape of the frame but I do like the xl top tube & the frame itself weighs like 3 lbs. It originally had a 2 tone blue paint scheme & the whole thing was covered in clear. After stripping the paint & clear it looked a lot better. I've had this one built, torn back down, then sitting for months at least 5 times just never 100% sure about it. This time I built it with unknown chrome threadless forks & a set of unknown new school bars(stuff I got in trade somewhere down the line. Not sure what the wheels are either but they seem to work with it. Thinkin I might actually keep it together this time but I need to repaint the bars, find a better seat & grips, & figure out how to polish the frame but not make it too "chromy" or I may paint it a nice metallic silver. Update; Put this one thru another overhaul. After sanding down the frame to get the marks from the original off I repainted a set of Hyper bars and Dyno forks I had around. I also swapped out the crank set and added new style aluminium mongose mags. When budget allows I plan to swap out the crank set for a 3 piece and a better seat/post.
