I wanted Chrome Slingshot for long time and every Chrome Shop I approached said " it is not possible with how
close the tubes are at the bottom bracket, we will not be able to chrome that area." Well lucky for me I know
Jeff Haney, Jeff said it would not be a problem for their Chrome Shop Revcore Finishing Services, and he personally
saw it thru to the end. The result is a Chrome job I would put up against any Factory Chrome BMX Bike. Thanks
Jeff and the Team at Revcore.
Springs, Cables and Wedge are original to the frame.
Frame needed nice forks and I selected the Redline Pro-Line Forks for the 5" head tube and also because they are
the closest to what Slingshot offered ( though they produced only a handful of their own forks).
This build gave me a chance to use my NOS 175mm Clemtwin Crank Setup and special thanks to Vaughn Ulmer for
the matching Blue Chainrings and Blue Araya Rims.
Front Hub is a polished Son Lite and the rear is the required but very rare Clemtwin Twin Sprocket setup.
I used the Kashimax Aero Seat with DX Post
SE Power Wing Bars with Am' Cam Grips and Pro Neck Stem
Brake is MX1000 with Tech III Lever
Pedals are Bullseye Chrome with Blue Cages, special thanks to Steven Jackson at Bullseye helping me secure 2 RH
spindles for these pedals, as both drive arms are RH.
As a final touch I had custom "Ghost" Slingshot decals made so as to not take away from the Chrome job.
Hope you all like it as much as I do.
