  • Details Here’s the @illest 2020 Skyway Retro 26” Cruiser. This is my first skyway build and was really excited when planet Bmx announced the pre-orders. As soon as I locked in my set, I immediately started to order parts. So by the time the frameset arrive three months later, I would have everything I would need to build a bike that same day.⁣ ⁣ Of course with Covid and shipping delays, What was supposed to be a 3-month wait turned into 8-months. The idea and inspiration behind the build was keeping the traditional red and blue trim colors while adding higher end components to balance out the overall build. I specifically chose VG and Knight Bike Co pieces to support local bay area companies! I also have a custom made Padset made by fantastic bikes in Florida. I used my my good buddy’s company logo called illest. Illest is a lifestyle brand that has roots on the 4 elements of hip-hop: ⁣ 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦: 𝐑𝐚𝐩⁣ 𝗪𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 : 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐢 ⁣ 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 : 𝐃𝐉𝐢𝐧’𝐲𝐲⁣ 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 : 𝐁𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐢𝐧’⁣ ⁣ The company also focuses on fashion, the custom automobile scene and many more. ⁣ ⁣ I wanted to build my skyway a little bit differently than the typical styles that you see around and online.I didn’t want it to be a catalog bike that had one brand & all matching components. I chose different components that I really liked and thought it would flow well.⁣ ⁣
