C4 Labs Custom fabricated one of a kind Retro 24" Freestyle Quadangle.

Okay, I had my 24" Quadangle for a couple of years, I loved it but as most of us know we tend to go from one project to the next. I always loved the Freestyle Quads & over time thought it would be cool to get some kind of custom fabrication done to achieve a one off 24" Freestyle model.

In January (2010) I set about finding the best person possible to complete the tall order of completely rebuilding the rear triangle of the bike. It didn't take long to decide that Chip at C4 Labs was the man to do it. As I live in the UK, Chip kept me updated on Skype & also emailed pictures of the work in process. At first I wanted the Quad in Yellow but Chip convinced me that Turquoise would be a better choice for a Freestyler (I understand that White & Turquoise were the first two colours back in "84), so I was happy to go along with his recommendation. I must say the day I received my Frame & Forks I was overwhelmed by the quality of work, there was no sign of the Seat stay attaching to the top tube & the "84 style brake bridge was perfect as were the 2nd gen dropouts. Chip subsequently used the old Looptail rear Triangle & converted it to a bike stand.

I'm happy to say that the build was finally finished in the early hours of 1St September, Later that day it won 1st place in Best Retro at Rad BMX MK10.
