2001 Nirve Static
This is a 2001 Nirve Static and it is the first year for the Static. The Static was only made for 3 years (2001-2003) and was also the top of the line Nirve bike for flatland, vert and street riding. My Static is mostly stock and there are currently no other Nirve Statics listed on the museum. The bike has a 100% chromoly frame, fork, bars, seat post and cranks. The cranks are Voxom tubular cranks and have sealed cartridge bearings. The hubs are also made by Voxom and have sealed cartidge bearings and the rear hub has a removable grind sheild on the left (non-drive) side. The rims are Alex chrome plated Supra Alpha rims and the tires are Voxom Rubbers that are 110 psi. the bike even has built in chain tensioners that are washers with triangular lined that line up with the rear dropouts triangular lines and interlock. The bike was missing the stock pegs when I bought it new in the box so I used some generic pegs that were similar to the stock Nirve Voxom pegs that were supposed to come with the bike. I switched the stock black DiaCompe 990 brakes for silver Tektro FX-15 brakes. I switched the Dia-Compe Tech-77 levers for Odyssey Modu-Levers. I added Odyssey 2x4 extra tall brake pads instead of the normal size pads that came on the bike. The stock custom gray Nirve front brake cable was damaged during shipping so I went with a similar generic gray front cable. I switched the stock chrome plated Nirve Voxom steel bar ends for high polished aluminium bar ends. Other than the changes that I mentioned, the bike is factory stock.
