1982 Mongoose Motomag

My dad bought this bike for me from Wilson's Cycle Store in Hackensack, NJ for Christmas of 1981. It's stamped 12-81 on the BB next to the serial number. I rode this bike everyday and I also raced it a few times at Braddock in North Bergen until I got my Thruster Vanishing Point in July 1983. I didn't like the black single stem neck and bars that it came with so I bought the GT Pro Bars and gold Pro Neck some time in 1982. I can't remember what I did with the rest of the original parts but I do remember selling the black Tuff Wheel IIs to someone for $40, I have no idea why I sold them other than being an idiot. The bike has sat as a frame and fork in various storage places for 30 years until recently. The nickel looked like crap from sitting for 30+ years and I should have taken pics before I cleaned it up. It's a work in progress.

Its a work in progress. I do have reproduction Mongoose grips, frame and fork stickers, snap pads. I still have to clean up the GT bars and install the replacement stickers. If I could find a replacement Wilson's Cycle Store sticker that would be great.
