1981 Team Mongoose
Original Survivor.
This is the bike that got me seriously into BMX after modifying Huffys for many years before. In 1981 I got a Motomag frame and built it up over a year with whatever cash I could scrape together. The Team shown here is much much better!
I found this example complete from what I understand to be an estate sale in 2014. Frame SN H1XXXXX. August of 1981. US Made. It had not seen much use at all. Even tires still intact. I put it in storage back then and only took it out in 2023 to dust it off and wipe it down a bit.
The bike is all original Mongoose to my knowledge. I only replaced the tubes with new in 2023.
