Garage reclamation
This was hanging in my friends garage for at least 25 years. He had another Mitygoose (‘78) that also need a refresh. In exchange for rebuilding the ‘78 he gave me the ‘83. He originally got in from a mutual friend probably in the late 80’s or early 90’s.
The rims were not salvageable so I bought a set of tuff wheels for it and slapped on some Comp III’s. At some point the original stem was replaced with a pro neck. The original forks were gone, but it had a chrome Tange fork on it. The bars are some newer Haro with a rad pad I found on eBay. Cranks are original with MKS pedals. New MX1000 caliper. I powder coated the frame and forks and slapped on some reproduction stickers.
