1981 Kuwahara KZ-2
1981 Kuwahara KZ-2
I was very lucky to find this survivor bike on a local classified web-site moments after it was listed, but I didn't have the cash on hand to pick it up.
I did the next best thing and tipped off a local museum member/friend about the bike. Three days later he ended up texting me letting me know he had purchased it.
I was happy he was the one who scored the bike because it prevented the bike getting into the hands of someone who might part out this beautiful survivor.
I decided to make a killer trade for the bike roughly a week later.
The entire bike is %100 original right down to the brake pads and inner tire tubes. Infact the rear inner tube had about 5 holes that were
patched up very well, because they were still holding air. It just goes to show you how people didn't just throw money away in the early 1980's.
The bike is a little scratched, tattered and torn but I wouldn't want it any other way.
The original IRC COMP 2 tires were in rough shape, especially along the side walls so they have since been replaced.
