1985 Kuwahara SuperNova

The Bike that led me to bmxmuseum.com

So, I was looking on Craigslist for a mountain bike for my daughter and saw an ad for a Kuwahara. I had recently reconnected with one of my old BMX buddies and was feeling nostalgic so I contacted the seller to check it out. He had recently trash picked the bike and could not tell me anything about it. The chrome was nice and it was pretty light so I bought it. When I got it home I did a Google search on Kuwahara and came across the bmxmuseum.com site. I joined the museum that day and have been hooked on bmx bikes again ever since. My daughter rode this bike for a bit but has moved on to cruisers. We do throw some rideable tires on it once in a while and give it a spin, but mostly just admire it in its shiny glory. Through a considerable amount of research and input from others it appears the bike is a SuperNova based on the difference in the forks on this bike compared to the K-stamped forks on the Nova and the parts kit on this bike.
