1984 Hutch Trick Star
Original finish Trickstar!
I bought this frame, fork, and bars new in 1984. I had Gordy at Freewheeler Bike Shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan order it for me as soon as they came out. This was my favorite bike I've ever ridden throughout my BMX years. I rescued it from my parents basement about 12 years ago, and decided to build it how I wanted it back in 1984. As most of you know, Hutch Aerospeeds were just as hard to get back in 1984, if not harder, than they are now. I reluctantly went with some Redlines, but always wanted Aerospeeds.
I decided to go full-bore on this build since it was my favorite bike. I found a beautiful set of original finish Aerospeeds about 10 years ago on Ebay, and finally my Trickstar was complete! It is built just like a Pro Star with the exception of tires, handlebars, and headset. Everything else is exactly the same. I even had the wheels built up with custom made titanium spokes from Marwi. This is my most prized complete bike in my collection, and one I will never sell.
