1984 Hutch Trick Star
US made Survivor
This is my July 1984 hutch trick star. This US made survivor sports it’s original paint and decals and it is almost completely original the way the bike shop built it in the 80’s right down to the early rotor set up and the lavender OG Hutch freestyle tires. Shout out to JJ who recognized the bike and told me its history which is: When the Kid who got this bike was in his early teens he'd walk pass his local bike shop (Parma Cycle) on his way home from school every day. One day he spotted the purple trick star in the window. It had a hefty price tag on it, $1100. He fell in love w/ the bike but couldn't afford it. His older brother got a DB that year for Christmas but he wouldn't settle for another bike so he didn't get one. The bike wouldn't sell so the bike shop started dropping its price until it reached $800. That's when he made his move. The kid put in some money and convinced his parents to put up the rest. It was either 87 or 88 when he finally bought it.
And now here it is in all it glory, right on down to the original Parma Cycle Bike Shop decal and in for the 2020 calendar Build Off.
