1998 Hoffman Flash XL
"The Race bike that thinks it's a Trail bike"
Was reading an article about Taj's favourite bikes a couple years ago, covering everything from Fairdale, back to his very first 20". At some point while riding for HB, Taj rode a Flash, and at the time, I had only ever seen (or taken note of) the 1996 Flash with ovalized tubing. I didn't even know there was a gen2 Flash with Taj-style seatstays and gusset. Make mine an XL, please! Oh, I can have that in orange? Don't mind if I do! I picked this up from the Beta, frame / fork only, and it was in pretty bad shape. Thrashed paint, dented DT and fork leg, just generally tired. New powder and some elbow grease was all it took to get this bird ready to fly. This '98 is wearing '97 decals -- the set meant for the red frame from that year. I had a set of the proper '98 decals, but they're just ugly...
