1997 Haro Group 1 RSi

So my intention with this bike was to use at the track. I bought it in January '12, and it has been a project ever since. Instead of restoring a 1" clamp-on, eighteen year old frame to be a current race ride, I finally decided to give it the full Restoration / retro vibe. I always loved the 90's TT design of the Group 1 bikes, but the best of the best of the Group 1 family has got to be Pistol Pete's black '88. I had only ever seen one in person (owned by getmoney) and it's just such a beautiful design, I had to try to replicate it. Found this machine online in a semi-together state (wrecked freestyle 48's, cobbled-together chain, chopped bars) but otherwise in remarkably original condition. After looking through the museum, I think this is one of only a few examples of a mid-'90s era (1" clamp-on) RSi here. I would have stayed with the original paint and decals, but the '97 RSi decals are impossible to track down. I've never seen a set.
