1985 GT Performer

This is my second ever BMX build and my second submission to BMXMuseum. As I am sure many others have done, I built this bike to the original specifications to my '85 performer that I had BITD.  I located the F/F here on BMX Museum in Pennsylvania from member MarsMann.  I could not resist this fine example of a Japan August 85 F/F done by Chip at C4 including some fresh pro performer decals (although I'm technically building a Performer). Big Thanks to my Dad for arranging air transportation so I can pick up the F/F. The frame deal came with some beautiful 85 date stamped mx900 brakes, mx levers and the correct ’85 seat post clamp redone by Chip at C4.  I purchased a NOS Epoch headset from overseas here on the museum and an SR Sakae stem from Vanilla Gorilla. I found 85 GT Performer correct white Ukais on Ebay and I recently put the correct round cross bar GT Pro Bars I found on eBay which were coated white by C4.  I recently upgraded to the correct crank and BB- thanks Willy b. I’d like to thank BMX museum, my Dad and all the members that sold me parts and advised me on this build as put together my Holy Grail Performer Build.  I hope you enjoy.
