1997 GT Mach One
PARTS BOX RIDER
I put this together from some of the parts I have been collecting up over the past year. I didnt have a vision of a build when I got the frame, or any other part on the bike, I just knew when something needed to come home with me...Fast forward, everything solidified as I was trying to organize my parts box(es). I just dug in and decided to build it with what I had at my disposal. The only thing I needed to buy was a star nut for the stem.
One thing I may change up is spider and smaller chainring-although the design mimics the mags, the 44T comes alittle too close to the chainstay, and it could use a lil' more detail in that area.
Even tho the mags make the bike heavy, it just feels right to me, and a simple switch out to spokes would make it VERY light and a formidable racer.
I think it came out pretty rad, too bad its a 20" and a lil' cramped for ol' chippy. Should be great for my daughters tho...yep its a girls bike!
Special thanks to local Kevin from Halifax who hooked me up with the frame & fork on the cheep, and Jay Old Man from the Fence who passed on the badass 4-peice race bars.
All comments welcome.
