1993 GT Performer

I acquired the bike as a bare frame and fork thrown in as part of a complete bike purchase. Not knowing what to do with it and having never built a bike from parts nor restoring one, I decided to just copy a performer from the 86 catalog.

I found a spray paint can that closely matched the GT purple and painted the F/F that color. Then came the scavenger hunt to find the parts to complete the bike. I found most of them here in the museum.

I am very happy with the bike, it rides great, and does look a little like the old school bike I wanted it to look like.
