1987 General Osborn Pro

A Grey Ghost

Having hit that age when rational grown men start wanting to spend money on things that they probably don't need, I decided the time was now to track down another General Osborn Pro.  In the 80's I was all GT, right to the bone.  One day in late '87 I rode a friends Osborn Pro and immediately was pulling tricks I couldn't on my PFTTM.  The next day I went to work (I worked at Albe's) and bought a blk/chrome '88 Osborn Pro frame and fork and built it.  My parents sold it at a garage sale in 1998 for pennies.  I have been quietly searching for another one since about 2005.  In November of 2017 I got pretty series and joined all the FB and interwebz groups.  One morning at 4:30am I got a PM from a member of one of the groups to a link right here at the Museum.  I immediately became a Pro member and dibbed that frame set.  Having been recently re-powdered and stickered by Chip @ C4 Labs, I grabbed it the moment I saw it and the rest is history.  I then began a somewhat crazed hunt for parts. A large amount of it was bought/built from parts purchased here on the Museum.  It's not 100% OG and I didn't want it to be.   I built this bike the way I wanted to for both display and to ride.  I hope you enjoy the images.
