2008 FMF Pro XL
Is it old, or is it new? Is it really candy blue ??
The answers to the above questions are yes, yes, and yes.
I wanted to build a bike that looked old school, in both style & color scheme,
but at the same time was roomy, and rode/stopped/handled like a fairly new school race bike.
Hence this candy blue FMF pro xl, built in honor of a very good friend of mine.
It is deceptively quite a large bike - the frame itself is generous in length already, plus the layback seat post only adds to the limo-style riding position.
The silver ano rims, silver ano GT Mohawks. the candy blue Landing Gears & FMF frame, the chrome pro bars & layback post, the 180 Crupi square taper cranks, the 46t chainring (who rides 46/16 anyways ? ... weird!) (the launch is a bit more challenging than a 44/16 setup... but the top end cruise is cool!!), the yellow Ame's, vinyl h-bar pad & Aero lounge chair as well as the Maxxis knobbies all lend to the old school appearance.
Don't know what you guys reckon, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out :)
