1978 CYC Stormer
A recreation of my first bmx racing bike. THIS BIKE IS SOLD!!
I had a 1978 CYC Stormer just like this one back in 1978. Like many of my bikes, sadly, this one was stolen too (bastards!). This bike was the first bike I raced at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds near Golden Colorado. I was in the lead of my first race heading into the final turn, my foot slipped off of the pedal, causing me to go wide right, and i ended up fourth (by a hair!) The top 3 got trophies. OOOPS! I let my friend ride this bike (he did not have a good bike) and he rode it to a first place trophy! I guess I can't blame the bike! lol Even though the thing is a tank (you can get ripped if you use the frame for curls!) it brings back a flood of great memories. I had a blast building it. I hope you enjoy! Thanks for looking!
