1980 Cook Bros. Racing
Built the bike I always wanted in my youth.
Grew up in a lower middle-class family and never had the resources to secure the BMX bike of my dreams. I was finally able to complete the build.
Old school/original parts:
Cook Bros. Racing frame and fork with sealed Euro bottom bracket and spindle. First generation Dura Ace cranks and chain ring. Torker 6-bolt stem. Oakley F1 grips. Dia-Compe MX rear brake. CMC steel wheels and hubs outfitted with titanium blue spokes and nickel nipples.
New school/reproductions:
Nitto handlebars. Nitto layback seat post. Tuf neck style seat post clamp. Kashimax aero suede seat. Cook Bros. Racing pad set. Bullseye Pro Round pedals made for Skyway. Heng shin tires. Cook Bros. Racing theme plate. Izumi chain. Alloy rear drop out savers. Cobalt blue front and rear axle nuts.
