1983 Bandito Racing Pro
One of the most unique bikes that I used to see out at Roadrunner BMX here in Phoenix. Now it is my 2020 BMX Museum Calendar Build-off entry!
I thought this would be a fun build. I found the frame and fork brand new from the Sell-all-of-Earl's-Stuff folks on Ebay. It came in the original box with the original decals and warranty card. I won't be riding this one and gently but the wheels on it. It's a smaller bike and this is how I would have built it up back when I was fourteen/fifteen. Bandito Pro Frame and Fork, dual dropouts, original decals, NOS Oakley 2 grips, NOS (from member CHABY) Sugino CT 175 cranks (rechromed by CHABY, custom decals by GT350) Bandito Pro Handlebars (from member Raoul) Bandito Pad Set, repop (from Ebay) Uni Turbo Seat, (from Ebay) SR Diamondback seat clamp, powdercoated by Chip Tioga Beartrap2 Headset (Chip at C4) Dia Compe 1985 MX901 brake caliper, matching lever (supposed to be front)(from Ebay) Dia Compe rear brake cable (from member Westside2004) AeroMax Track Contender Brake shoes (from member Mr.Wheels) Green hex anodized caps (from member LuskBMX) Pro Neck stem (Ebay) Suntour XCII pedals, (chrome dustcaps from troynlori, color by Chip) Araya 7x 20x1.75 wheel set with Suzue sealed hubs (supposedly NOS from sell Earls stuff...)
