Re: How To Upload Your Bike Photos
So, I had a bike under review. Now, I don't have a bike period! It's because of the name, I bet....get with me, we'll work something out, but I can't drop the [explicative] from the beginning. That's all.
Why do you hate my bike, forum mods? :p
edit: pm'd.

how big are your bike images? it sounds like it's timing out while uploading. try reducing the size of the images (the first post in this thread has links), or just doing one image at a time. (you'll be able to edit your bike posting once you submit it.)

Re: How To Upload Your Bike Photos
admin looks at the submitted bikes to make sure you followed the rules, the photos are good, you have the correct info etc.
sometimes they don't fit that criteria and they get deleted.

Re: How To Upload Your Bike Photos
i'm working on a system that sets the bike aside in a new status "needs work" where we can put a note re: what's wrong with the bike and allow you the opportunity to address that, instead of just deleting the bikes.
the problem is the code throughout the site depends on a binary "approved" or "not approved" status, so i'll have to make changes in many areas to accommodate this.
hellmutt is also drafting a more clear set of criteria that mods use to determine if the bike will be approved or not, which i'll post soon to the "submit bike" form.

How do you make photos smaller on Windows Vista? All of my pictures are around 3.11 MB 3200X2400 and won't fit.

Re: How To Upload Your Bike Photos
welcome to the site. sounds like your photos were too big maybe and it didn't go through.

try resizing your photos, making them smaller prior to submitting.

Re: How To Upload Your Bike Photos
gday..
trying to sort out the details on bike number #34334 - i figured the serial number [R81091637A] to mean 'repco built - september 1981 build date', going by serial number norms. i may be wrong, if you could help me get this right that'd be great!!
