Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
yea so i posted four bikes a dyno slammer, a hutch pro racer, a schwinn predator, and a group one haro.
full on wrote about each one of em and filled out all the boxes. three showed up and the dyno wasnt approved yet.
oh and i uploaded pics for each. anyways the dyno got deleted or not approved so i uploaded again and now if you look at it
the dyno isnt there nor my pre serial hutch pro racer. what gives.
i was pretty proud to put my bikes on your site. its taken like a couple months to get around to it to find out they get deleted.![]()

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
I am currently working on posting pics of two 80s bikes. My f-ing camara was stolen out of my pic up earlier(among other things)I sure hope you can show me some consideration. I will have pics by tomorrow at the latest. I have looked long and hard for a place to not only find out what exactly they were, but also a place to sell one or both of them. Patience friends it will be worth it I promise. I have 86 Kuwahara Bravo KT and 86 CW california freestyler, and like I said am working hard on getting the pics as soon as my buddy gets home with the camera.

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
if you are planning on selling them, it might be best to just post them on the for sale section and not the museum.
good luck with the camera

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
sometimes bikes make it through the approval stage that shouldn't have been approved. These are found later and are either fixed somehow or deleted to try again. Bad photos, not the correct year, stating it is for sale are just a few of the common reasons for bikes to be deleted.

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
Thanks for this place, thanks for the memories, and for your hard work. Its gotta be a love for you to look at that many bikes and sift through all the space cases. Give it hell, but also remember that many of us have only made it home out of pure instinct, a gushing head wound and no memory of our name, let alone of the crash at all. This is why i love this site and your hard work so much, for it answers so many questions and gives soooo much back to us who still have the scars! thanks again for your work.

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
Sorry, I'm guilty of submitting a bike first, reading on and finding out about the "Name it section".
Where I did go and get some help from a member. Where I did the right and added the info I knew and resubmitted.
But, Thanks for this site it's great.
Johnny G.(johnng23604)
I'm looking for the following frames, frame & forks or completes by BMX products:
MotoTrac (nickle or chrome), Racer-X or a Super-X (with the double gussets preferred).
Thanks
I'm also johnng23604 at "Retro-goose", "VintageBMX" & "RADbmx"

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
sleezstack, your talking out your ass on this! what a conspiracy theorist! the only reason your bikes are being deleted is because your doing it wrong. There are four people that can approve and delete bikes. Sometimes bikes are approved in bulk, just glancing over them, then they are looked over by the other mods as well as the entire community. Some are reported by members and some are found by mods/admin and deleted when they are not cutting it with pics, description or whatever. Usually this is done in large groups, so it is not real practical to contact everyone. There is a fix in the works that will kick the bike back to you with a note on the changes that need to be made to fix the problem.

First off, what the hell are you blabbering about?
If your bike was removed, either the pics were total crap, it was a for sale ad, etc.
Only thing different right now is that I've been provided with an easier way to search through bikes for for sale ads in the edit section (thank you Nate!). If we missed some BS you've had posted for a year, I do apologize, next time it will be removed sooner.
Any other conspiracies you want to get off your chest while I'm here?
P.S. I'm not a Pro Member!
Dude, sorry I got in that fight with you yesterday that was totally my fault and not yours.
What's the point of having a bike if you're not going to ride it?

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
Not sure why.
I often approve bikes before thorough review, and mods later delete them.
This is done to improve the site, and keep number of quality bikes up.
If pics are blurry or something, they get cut.

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
Pics are perfect, same size/quality as my Dyno they allowed in.
Only thing I can think of is that they are looking at the pics and assuming it isn't a 1998, because of everything I've done to it..

Re: Submitting Bikes To The Museum
Apologizes. The family I bought it from said it was purchased in 1998, they were quite certain on that as it was a big milestone gift for their son. Obviously they were wrong. I took a look at the 98's in the museum and saw several that looked the same to me.
The ser# in it did not seem to indicate any date so 98 is what I went with.

voicing an opinion is one thing, ignorance is another. your attitude sucks and you went about it entirely wrong, that is what ultimately got you deleted.

Ok so just deleting with no reason or explanation as to why this happened after being here for a year is a normal thing. Even after several attempts to re post our bikes only to fail and get rude, demeaning, and non helpful answer we are to remain calm? Give me a break! How are we to fix or learn the correct method when the people that are here to help the fellow BMX community are annoyed and pestered by us looking for help? Maybe you should read some of the other members post that are having a hard time with this and see I am not the only one.I just happen to be the one that spoke up and shot back. Granted I showed hostility but what would you do if the tables were turned? I understand you have made your decision and that's fine , but I still elieve you could gone about this differently...without DELETING my membership...

i would try adding the bike with all the info and just one pic, the main full-frame side shot. it will show as Pending on your bikes page. then edit the bike and add any other photos. it may be that your photos are just too large to all be uploaded at once. but you can do one at a time.
