1978 Peddlepower

my childhood bike returned to me

its not a powerlight original plastic coat red over nickel .
found the guy who had it 2 years ago and was wearing him down then a buddy goes behind my back and snakes me for it .forcing me to trade me for a ghp pro .hope he likes it.

i would have given him just about anything for it ......im glad thats all he asked for.

Absolutely awesome! Had a nickle one exactly like it! Would love to get ahold of another. Building an 80 Powerlite right now. So similar, but doesn't have the cool square brake bridge. Congrats on getting it back! If you ever want to sell it...

I had the Tange TRX forks on mine. I have a set on the Powerlite I'm building too.

Yup. Just got a line on the guy I traded the PedalPower to back in 86'. It's a long shot in hell, but had to ask him if he knows it's whereabouts. Can't hurt to ask right? Wish me luck!

I've got one very similar with square brake bridge, in black with what looks like original stickers. The stickers are Powerlite. The other interesting thing is it has a Schwinn style seat post. I also have a slightly newer one with the flat/butterfly bridge & standard seat post, maybe a '79. Does this one have the schwinn seat post? I'll post mine when they are complete.

I'm trying to get my powerlites in the museum to compare those different brake bridges. I did put them out on the Name it forum under Old School Powerlite.
