"You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In Vietnam his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill!"

Re: 1979 Schwinn Scrambler
my vote is for simple...coaster brake is nice as it eliminates the brake set, cable and lever...tuf wheels, lesters, motomags or some old steel wheels work good... a quilted vinyl saddle, box mx bars, single bolt stem and big old black wall knobbies.

Re: 1979 Schwinn Scrambler
Man that is a time machine right down to the number plate. I hope one day to have an old beater race bike like that , that I can actually take to the trails. Not to jump, just to ride and maybe do some gates on. LOL maybe even some 1 pedals if I remember how to. Thanks for sharing that bike.

Wow! That was my 1st real bike! Same colors too- SCARY! Rode the piss out of that thing for 5 years- sold it for $25 and bought it back for $30 two months later! sweet.
